Book Description:
The development of tourism in a country/region carries some social and economical changes with their positive, as well as negative, aspects. It is possible to assess the effect of tourism on the balance of payments, its income constituting effect including employment, balanced development among the regions, other industries in the economy, and the effect on the improvement of the superstructure, as well as infrastructure within the scope of macro economical effects. Similarly, its effect on the real wages and prices, opportunity cost; internal and external economies effect are the selected examples of the micro effects of tourism. This book aims to examine both effects of tourism in a national economy in detail.
