Applications of Ionic Liquids in Sample Extraction pp. 281-300

Abstract: Ionic liquids (ILs), being composed entirely of ions, have become very popular in the last years, because they have many fascinating properties, such as low vapor pressure, low combustibility, excellent thermal stability and wide liquid regions. Extraction is a good approach to reduce the complexity of real samples and concentrate target analytes. This review focuses on the recent progress in the applications of ILs based extraction methods such as liquid phase (micro) extraction and solid phase (micro) extraction in sample extraction field. The advantages and disadvantages of every ILs based sample extraction technique and the future trends about ILs based extraction methods were discussed.
