From Cyclic Silylenes to Allenic Structures $45.00

Three structural isomers of seven different compounds containing silicon and germanium atoms were studied with quantum chemical methods. Two types of the investigated potential energy surface (PES) could be distinguished. While on the first one cyclic and open chain divalent isomers exist, the pattern of the other is determined by a cyclic silylene (germylene) and a bent allenic structure. The electronic structure of these isomers (and a fourth non-isomer silicon(0) compound) is characterized and the stability of the structures is predicted.
