Journal Editors: J. Paulo Davim and Mark J. Jackson

Journal Description:
The "Journal of Manufacturing Technology Research" (JMTR) is an international journal that presents the latest original and high-quality articles with a special emphasis on the research and development in recent advances in machining technology, precision manufacture, biomanufacturing, micro/nanomanufacture, and ecological manufacturing. JMTR fosters information exchange and discussion on all aspects of materials science and engineering, manufacturing processes, and manufacturing technology for modern industry.

JMTR focuses on all materials, metals, plastics, ceramics, composites, and bio and nano materials, as well as all manufacturing processes, including machining (traditional and non-traditional processes), abrasive machining, metal casting, powder metallurgy, bulk deformation, sheet metal forming, joining, plastics/composites processing, ceramic processing, thin and thick coatings, rapid prototyping, hybrid processes (thermal, plasma, chemical and electrical energy assisted methods), micromanufacturing processes (micromachining, microforming, hot embossing and patterning), and biomedical manufacturing.

The Journal covers the full range of advanced manufacturing engineering such as robotics and automation, computer-based manufacturing technologies: CNC, CAD, CAM, FMS, CIM, network technologies, concurrent engineering, production planning, scheduling, and control.

Contributions to JMTR are welcome in the following formats: original full research articles, review articles, technical notes, and case studies. Articles and contributions are welcome on all subjects of manufacturing technology. Especially welcome are articles and material that pioneer new research directions, raise new questions and new possibilities, or examine old problems from a new angle. JMTR also publishes special issues on selected topics reflecting recent manufacturing advances or on selected articles of the conferences. Proposals can be submitted directly to the Editors-in-Chief.

The Journal of Manufacturing Technology Research is abstracted and indexed in: SCOPUS
